Microfibre

In hosiery, microfibre (or microfilament) is a term used to describe a yarn composed by particularly thin nylon fibres (a lot of strands with a count equal or lower than 1dtex per strands). Since it is almost completely without stretch, it must be coupled with elastane. It is characterized by a silk brilliance and a velvety softness (Opaques and some socks of the line Soft Pleasure by Filodoro For My Free Time).
It has possible applications also in knitwear.
